What We Do
-
Forum Meetings
The core of the Forum’s work is centred on Forum meetings which take place every two to three months for members to share updates on recent political and legal development in all three countries relevant to cross-border migration and Forum members’ work. They are also an opportunity to discuss and plan Forum activities and joint-work in response to these changes.
-
Online Events
The Forum organises regular online events for members and/or for the public on new policies, legal developments, or research that are relevant to the cross-border space. These online events, including learning sessions and study days, are opportunities for shared learning and focused-discussion on specific topics to help Forum members and the public alike approach immigration policy and advocacy with a cross-border lens. We invite Forum members with specific expertise and external experts alike to participate in our events.
-
In-Person Events
The Forum has participated and organised several in person events, such as our in-person report launch and banner making workshop in February 2023 in London and our panel discussion at The World Transformed in Liverpool in October 2023.
If you are planning an in-person event and would like to invite the Crossborder Forum to participate, please get in touch.
-
Working Groups
To develop transnational expertise and construct a shared analysis of issues facing migrant communities in the cross-border space, the Forum has different working groups.
These groups are only open to Forum members.
-
Capacity-Building & Networking
Our membership is diverse and includes small, grassroots organisations, networks, and major INGOs. To support our members to engage in Forum activities and to build relationships and partnerships with other Forum members, we organise capacity-building events and activities tailored to Forum member needs.
